The New York Cares Brand Assets Guide is the style guide for the organization. It encompasses both the visual style guide, as well as writing and a section of organizational standard instructions. The guide is now a part of the on-boarding resources new staff receive when hired at New York Cares. The document includes both how-to-instructions and best practices. Teaching new staff members about brand voice and standard writing is an important step to set the new hires up for success from day one.
Seeing a need at the organization, I spearheaded the initiative of creating the Brand Assets Guide. I collaborated interdepartmentally to ensure accuracy when combining and choosing which content got included.
